As stupid as most politicians appear to be, I doubt that many believe that criminals will register their stolen firearms.

So, there has to be another agenda and I think Australia gives us a clue as to what that might be.

I will tell you one parameter used in gun death statistics: childhood ends at age 24.

Anyone 23 and under who dies in any gun related incident is a child in that statistical realm.

It is also amazing how many of these "children" are killed in ghetto skirmishes where drugs and turf are causal factors.

In my book you don't put children behind the wheel of a car, or allow them to vote. If you defined childhood at a more realistic age, like under 16... those "gun death among children" stats would probably shrink by 90-95 percent or more.

Isn't it ironic that the same people who would disarm us are also trying to ban SUV's under the premise that they are too big?

When involved in an accident with a Yugo or a Tercel the bigger vehicle always "wins" and that is unfair?

Hey Murf, Actually she wasn't too surprised.

We have about 1200 square miles of public land just across our back fence. If we lived on a lake that size and didn't have a boat we would be missing something. She agreed with the logic.

Here is another bit of logic: I shopped for small used 4x4's (like older jeeps and Suzuki's) and found out that if it carries a license plate it needs about $75 a month for insurance..... and that cost goes on forever.

The payment for the RTV is $175 a month and when it is paid off all I have to buy is fuel.

So I am using that 75 bucks a month to actually buy something with a re-sale value instead of throwing it into the coffers of an insurance company, never to be seen again.
